SafePack Thermal Packaging

SafePack is BIOCARD’s own PCM-based thermal packaging system for the medical cold chain, with configurations for refrigerated, controlled-ambient and frozen ranges. Performance is configuration-specific and selected per shipment.

SafePack performance is configuration-specific. We select the container, PCM arrangement and conditioning process against the requirements of the actual shipment rather than relying on a single duration claim for every model and route.

How SafePack works

SafePack containers use phase-change material (PCM) elements positioned around the payload. The PCM is conditioned before dispatch to the exact thermal profile the shipment requires — protecting the payload against both overheating and overcooling, without power, through airport handling, customs and final delivery.

  • Temperature regimes including refrigerated (about +2 to +8 °C), controlled ambient (about +15 to +25 °C) and frozen ranges;
  • selected configurations designed for multi-day protection — up to 96 hours under defined test and operating conditions;
  • reusable containers — a sustainability and cost advantage over single-use packaging;
  • conditioned locally in Dubai before every dispatch.

Can I buy or rent SafePack boxes?
The principal offer is the end-to-end delivery service using SafePack. Purchase or rental of packaging may be available — ask us with your volumes and use case, and we will confirm current commercial options.
How long does SafePack hold temperature?
There is no single duration for every model and route. Selected configurations provide multi-day protection, up to 96 hours under defined conditions. We share the test data relevant to your configuration.
