SafePack is BIOCARD’s own PCM-based thermal packaging system for the medical cold chain, with configurations for refrigerated, controlled-ambient and frozen ranges. Performance is configuration-specific and selected per shipment.
SafePack performance is configuration-specific. We select the container, PCM arrangement and conditioning process against the requirements of the actual shipment rather than relying on a single duration claim for every model and route.
SafePack containers use phase-change material (PCM) elements positioned around the payload. The PCM is conditioned before dispatch to the exact thermal profile the shipment requires — protecting the payload against both overheating and overcooling, without power, through airport handling, customs and final delivery.

From compact last-mile boxes to pallet-scale containers. Exact per-model specifications (gross vs usable volume, dimensions, weight, PCM configuration and tested duration) are provided with your shipment plan against the configuration selected for your route.

Compact courier box (~10 L) for motorbike, last-mile and sample movements.

Mid-size workhorse (~26 L usable) for multi-package clinic and pharmacy deliveries.

Larger container (~59 L usable) for volume shipments under one regime.

Pallet-scale container (~360 L usable) for bulk air cargo.
| Model | Usable volume | Regimes | Typical use |
|---|---|---|---|
| SP9 | ~10 litres | refrigerated · ambient · frozen | Motorbike & last-mile, urgent samples (stable to 72 h at +25 °C) |
| SP32 | ~26 litres | refrigerated · ambient · frozen | Multi-package clinic, pharmacy and lab deliveries |
| SP80 | ~59 litres | refrigerated · ambient · frozen | Volume shipments under one controlled regime |
| PS-1 | ~360 litres + | refrigerated · ambient · frozen | Pallet-scale and long-haul thermo-sensitive air cargo |
Selected configurations hold their range for up to 96 hours under defined conditions. Volumes are approximate usable capacity; exact per-model dimensions, weight, PCM set and tested duration are confirmed in your shipment plan. Reusable and single-use options are available. The same container family is conditioned to different bands by changing the PCM configuration — not by buying a different product. Common regimes:
About +2 to +8 °C — insulins, vaccines, biologics, many reagents.
About +15 to +25 °C — tablets, finished medicines, diagnostic kits.
Sub-zero ranges including around −20 °C — frozen samples and specified products.
Additional and mixed bands (for example around 0 to +25 °C or −2 to +5 °C) are configured per shipment. Ultra-low and dry-ice solutions are quoted where the lane supports them.
